When our team, Sikh Volunteers Australia, found out that the bushfires were getting out of control in the region, and the community of Flowerdale and surrounding towns needed immediate support with ration and food. The team immediate response was to travel to Alexandera relief centre from our Langwarrin base with meals to support the communities. Headed out in a the Food Van fully loaded with groceries, utensils, and cooking appliances as firefighters are working to contain a fire burning out of control in the area.
