As we bid farewell to 2023, we’re thrilled to share the incredible milestones achieved with your unwavering support. Thanks to the dedication of all volunteers at Sikh Volunteers Australia (SVA), we’ve cooked and home-delivered a staggering 9847 free meals, while our food van distributed 28523 meals throughout the year.
A heartfelt shoutout to the 828 volunteers who selflessly took part in these services, embodying the spirit of community and compassion. Today, on the 31st of December, our young volunteers concluded the last service for the year, marking a year of impactful service.

Andrew is one of SVA’s most enthusiastic and devoted volunteers. Andrew has volunteered for home delivery service continuously for the past two years. Every week, regardless of the weather, he arrived in his car to collect the meals from the kitchen and deliver them to the recipients’ homes. SVA would like to thank Andrew on behalf of everyone for volunteering. We truly appreciate your willingness to volunteer your time and services. Your contribution enables us to continue fulfilling our purpose and serving the community each week.

SVA’s newly purchased property in Langwarrin will be settled in a June 2022, the team is grateful to the kind and generous current owners, Phil and Julie, who have kindly agreed to the use of the kitchen’s cooking facility until settlement to SVA.
SVA will be serve the community in a limited capacity for the next few months, but once the new site is established, the organisation will resume full operations.
