SVA Team served the community continuously for 22 days during the Central Victoria floods crisis in October 2022. A total of 15,000 meals were cooked, transported and served, driving 500 km each day to serve humanity.

SVA Volunteers and Kids meet Premier Jacinta Allan at Parliament

Volunteers and the Kids Group of Sikh Volunteers Australia had the privilege of visiting the Parliament, and met with the Premier Hon Jacinta Allan and other MPs. On this special occasion, Sikh Volunteers Australia took the opportunity to present Madam Premier with a framed picture of Darbar Sahib Sri Harmandir Sahib, a symbol of peace and unity and also presented a Cue card book aimed at addressing linguistic barriers in the healthcare system.

Devon Meadows Cub Scouts Interfaith Engagement

Devon Meadows Cub Scouts invited Sikh Volunteers Australia guest speakers to Learn about the Sikh Way of Life under the Interfaith Engagement project. The CUBS heard about the Langar Concept and Sikh Articles of Faith and watched a short video on how Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar prepares and serves Langar to almost 100,000 people every day.

Sikh Volunteers Australia is a non profit volunteer organisation focusing on reducing distress in the community by providing FREE FOOD to disadvantaged families.

Our Free Food Van and Free Take-Away Food Kitchen help in supporting our objectives. We have provided free food and drinking water to communities affected by national emergency disasters such as devastating floods, bushfires and now the COVID19 pandemic. We support the homeless and needy with our Free Food Van in Victoria's South Eastern suburbs of Frankston, Hastings and Noble Park.

We also support disable, elderly, single parents, international students, facing hardship and those in need in 7 council areas.
