Our Free Food Van and Free Take-Away Food Kitchen help in supporting our objectives. We have provided free food and drinking water to communities affected by national emergency disasters such as devastating floods, bushfires and now the COVID19 pandemic. We support the homeless and needy with our Free Food Van in Victoria's South Eastern suburbs of Frankston, Hastings and Noble Park.
We also support disable, elderly, single parents, international students, facing hardship and those in need in 7 council areas.
The team from Sikh Volunteers Australia has travelled to regional Victoria to help victims of devastating floodwaters inundating parts of the state this October. The rains have not stopped the SVA volunteers to provide food relief and support in Rochester, Seymour and Benalla as well as the nearby areas to help flood-affected Victorians.
SVA has been awarded the Premier’s Award for Community Harmony this year. The Victorian Multicultural Awards for Excellence honour outstanding individuals and organisations that foster cross-cultural understanding, support migrants and refugees, and celebrate and preserve the diversity of cultures that make Victoria such a great place to live.

The federal opposition on Saturday committed $700,000 to fund the new centre’s construction if Labor is elected in May, in an announcement alongside the Sikh charity at a volunteer appreciation day in Narre Warren. The funding would top up community fundraising and donations.
