Day 8 – Our final day of service in Taree—our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

Over the past seven days, Sikh Volunteers Australia has had the honour of serving warm meals to flood-affected communities across the Mid Coast.

Tomorrow, we will be serving lunch to the incredible volunteers continuing the clean-up efforts, before packing up at 1:00 PM. If you’d like to say goodbye, enjoy a warm meal—or even share a free hug—please come and visit us at the Bunnings Taree car park.

To the beautiful people of Taree and the wider Mid Coast community: thank you. Your resilience and kindness have deeply inspired us. We sincerely thank each and every one of you.

Special thanks to Bunnings Taree, Karen from Manning Bowling Club, Erin from Oxley Island, Melissa Tisdell and Michelle Snape from Cundletown, Reannon from Wingham, and Anika & Skye from Kempsey—your efforts to help your community truly shine.

A heartfelt thank you to Karamjeet Kaur and her family from Wingham, who stood shoulder to shoulder with our volunteers.

From all of us at SVA—thank you for welcoming us with open arms.

Please consider donating to our fundraiser so we can continue serving communities in need—and do it even better.

Day 7 – Food Relief at Taree

The Sikh Volunteers Australia team is back and ready to serve. While we continue reaching out to remote communities, today we’ll also be delivering hot meals to the incredible volunteers helping clean up the town.
