The Volunteers and Kids Group of Sikh Volunteers Australia had the privilege of visiting the Parliament, and met with the Premier, The Hon Jacinta Allan and other MPs. On this special occasion, Sikh Volunteers Australia took the opportunity to present Madam Premier with a framed picture of Darbar Sahib Sri Harmandir Sahib, a symbol of peace and unity and also presented a Cue Card book aimed at addressing linguistic barriers in the healthcare system.
This initiative is a testament to SVA’s commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that everyone, regardless of language differences, can access and receive the care they deserve. A heartfelt thank you to Madam Premier, Ingrid Stitt MP, Ben Carroll MP, Emma Vulin MP, Jordan Crugnale MP, Gary Maas MP, Paul Mercurio MP, Paul Edbrooke MP, Belinda Wilson MP, and Mathew Hilakari MP for their warm welcome and genuine interest in fostering understanding and collaboration. A very special thank you to Pauline Richards MP and her team for arranging this detailed and lovely tour for SVA. Together, we are making strides toward a more inclusive and connected community.
