On Wednesday, 18 September, Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria, visited the Sikh Volunteers Australia (SVA) site in Langwarrin to mark a special milestone—SVA’s 10th anniversary!
This visit was a wonderful acknowledgment of SVA’s extraordinary contributions to serving the community, especially during times of crisis. From bushfires and floods to ongoing support for those in need, SVA embodies the spirit of selfless service.

During her visit, Her Excellency met with the dedicated volunteers of SVA and took a tour of our facility, including the new kitchen that will be inaugurated on September 29th.
We are deeply honoured by the Governor’s presence and look forward to many more years of giving back to the community.
