At an event on March 27, 2023, the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Network of the Frankston City Council was officially inaugurated. The group’s mission statement is as follows: “We, the members of Frankston City Council’s CALD Network, aim to showcase, celebrate, engage, share, and learn while promoting inclusive and positive relationships by creating a sense of belonging for all.” There are twelve founding members of the network, and Sikh Volunteer Australia is proud and privileged to be one of them. This will be a new chapter of SVA in the service of humanity in the Frankston and Mornington region.
