Our Free Food Vans serve much needed meals, water and provide necessary items during national disaster relief operations across Victoria and nearby regions. Support from the community, our volunteers and emergency services are critical for SVA teams to reach affected places on time to provide support.

SVA Brand New Food Truck (HR Chasis)

Sikh Volunteers Australia is thrilled to announce that the much awaited new food truck on an 8.5-meter HR truck chassis is now nearing completion. This mobile truck kitchen will allow SVA Team to respond more efficiently to disaster-impacted areas, tackling the challenge of finding a safe place to cook onsite at the impacted areas head-on.

The SVA Team welcomed the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Chairperson, Viv Nguyen – Victorian Multicultural Commissioner AM, to our home base in Langwarrin (VIC). Viv toured our facilities and learned about SVA food service operations and disaster readiness support to the community.

SVA Team served the community continuously for 22 days during the Central Victoria floods crisis in October 2022. A total of 15,000 meals were cooked, transported and served, driving 500 km each day to serve humanity.

We have delivered 271,000 free meals from 18 Mar 2020 to 24 Oct 2021.  585 days - everyday for the needy during the COVID19 Crisis Support. Thank You for your support & encouragement!

Sikh Volunteers Australia is a non profit volunteer organisation focusing on reducing distress in the community by providing FREE FOOD to disadvantaged families.

Our Free Food Van and Free Take-Away Food Kitchen help in supporting our objectives. We have provided free food and drinking water to communities affected by national emergency disasters such as devastating floods, bushfires and now the COVID19 pandemic. We support the homeless and needy with our Free Food Van in Victoria's South Eastern suburbs of Frankston, Hastings and Noble Park.

We also support disable, elderly, single parents, international students, facing hardship and those in need in 7 council areas.
